Our Story
Agarbatti Sabki is a unit of Shramik Naari Sangh (Sa-Ni-Sa) – a registered Non-Profit organization that empowers women from marginalized backgrounds. Sa-Ni-Sa trains them to make a variety of products based on their talent & area of interest to provide them holistic support.
This unit was established at Parli Village, about 90 kms from Mumbai, in one of the most rural and tribal belts of Sudhagad Taluka, Maharashtra.
The idea behind establishing this unit was to provide an avenue of employment to the under-privileged to uplift and empower them, while creating premium quality incense crafted with care, that stands apart with its rich aroma for a superior experience that elevates everyday moments without compromising health and safety.
‘Sabki’ – meaning ‘for everyone’ in Hindi – aims to be a brand that is mutually beneficial to everyone. It honors the art of traditional craftsmanship, is health-conscious and environment-conscious too.
The Sudhagad Taluka, a male dominated demography, has extreme conditions of poverty leading to severe malnutrition, tribal culture and lifestyle, child labour in bootleg breweries, child marriages, scarce resources for an average family size of 6-8 and lack of purpose to avail education, especially for the girl child.
Every sale empowers under-privileged women with dignity, education, healthcare and economic independence.
